Angela began with Smith School, Office of Career Services in July of 2013 and brings 10 years of recruiting experience to her role. Her focus is on developing a comprehensive professional development, career readiness and engagement strategy for over 1,500 Specialty Masters students, across 6-degree programs and leading the Specialty Masters Career Team to execute with a focus on dedicated and degree-specific programming, coaching, and employer development.
Angela has developed an area of expertise around international students and leads a marquee event, the International Student Career Services Roundtable. This annual conference provides an opportunity for career service professionals to share critical information and best practices as it relates to international student success.
Prior to the University of Maryland, she served as a National Campus Recruiter for Ernst & Young LLP. There she held national responsibility for the recruiting strategy and execution of efforts for both undergraduate and MBA hiring into the Advisory Services’ Performance Improvement consulting practice. Angela began her career managing recruitment at the law firms of Kaye Scholer LLP in Washington, D.C. and Smith, Gambrell and Russell in Atlanta, GA.
Angela received her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin, her Master of Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business and she is currently pursuing an Industrial Organizational Psychology Master of Professional Studies at the University of Maryland College Park.
